			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thanksgiving day in Southwest Florida is the place to be with friends and family.  Many of you that read this page of my website have read my short bio on the front page and know that I&#8217;ve spent a number of years in Santa Cruz California.  A good friend of mine will be visiting during the Thanksgiving holiday and we plan to fish in the Gulf of Mexico and some inland fresh water near Charlotte Harbor.  I promise to post pictures of our fishing trips.  The water temperatures around the surrounding barrier islands have<a href="http://sarasotavenice.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/IMG_2644_w.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-159" title="Presentation" src="http://sarasotavenice.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/IMG_2644_w-300x199.jpg" alt="Presentation" width="300" height="199" /></a> cooled prompting the migration of snook inland (see <a href="http://www.floridabarrierislandsrealestate.com">www.floridabarrierislandsrealestate.com</a>).  The weather this week has been absolutely gorgeous.  Highs in the mid to low 80&#8217;s and lows in the 60&#8217;s.  We have yet to really get any cold snap.  Happy Thanksgiving; enjoy your time with friends and family.</p>

I feel like I could write a book about my experience in the past four months. On July 7, 2009 I received a phone call that changed my life, and for the good which my seem strange to some. The call was from my Doctor giving my pathology results showing I had neck cancer. The ride from that day until now has been eye opening, inspiring, and a lesson in giving. I can&#8217;t thank my family enough for their support and loving care. Thank you to my friends for their selfless giving my family experienced. As you can see on my Blog my daughter Liv is a new addition God so graciously gave my wife and I April this year. She and my wife were instrumental in my healing and getting back on my feet so quickly. I also want to give thanks to the Doctors and care givers who helped get through the treatments. I am back to work and very happy to help any persons looking to buy or sell Real Estate in South West Florida. I promise if you don&#8217;t watch the news everyday life is better than they make it out to be. Housing inventories are on the decline in Sarasota County and that is one of the best indicators you can point at showing the market in heading in the right direction. The foreclosure market is cyclical. What does that mean? It won&#8217;t last forever. God Bless and Thank You for reading my Blog.</p>

<div>Venice Florida and surrounding areas still have a market with active buyers and plenty of sellers adjusting their price to produce a sale. The month of November was very productive for me and my fellow associates. I wanted to bring this good news to my web traffic so they can accurately speak about the market. I run into the general public and agents for that matter that make strong statements like the following.</div>
<blockquote><p>Nothing is selling, this market is horrible; did you see the news today.</p></blockquote>
<div>To them I reply. Let me be the first to give positive news, there is activity in the Real Estate market and during a recession people do not stop buying and selling. I am not candy coating the present market situation, but I have found that wearing your blinders and focusing on the positive is a lot better that affirming that the market is bad. Do your self a giant favor, if your thoughts are less than cheery about the market.</div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I need to vent my opinion of the term (Short Sale) being thrown around in today&#8217;s market due to the mortgage industrie&#8217;s 2004, 2005 lending practices and buyer speculation.  The reality is short sales are a huge wast of time in a market that now has many bank owned properties available in the MLS and in their own foreclosure departments.  I recently heard a buyer put in perspective.  Making on offer on a short sale is like placing your hand in a hornets nest.  Please if your interested in pursuing the short sale market read as much as you can about the subject before you make an offer.  If your looking for a bang up deal in this market call me so I can point you in the right direction and avoid major head aches.  Having a motivated seller on the other end of your offer is the key in today&#8217;s market.  I know where they are and how to find them.  Good luck!
